Since early October, Apple Ads has started to provide a popularity of 5 (very low) on thousands of keywords that previously had a higher popularity. This issue affects all ASO tools on the market, including Astro.

What we've done: To provide reliable data, we've stopped updating keyword popularity, restored a backup from early October, and integrated a database of a million keywords from Apple's "Monthly Search Term Rank Report". When you add a keyword, we first check this database, then our local backup, and only as a last resort request data from Apple's APIs.

This approach allows us to provide reliable data for the vast majority of keywords. All other data in Astro (difficulty, rankings, ratings) remains 100% correct.

Future scenarios: If the situation doesn't change by November 15, 2025, we will restart keyword popularity updates using Apple's current data. If Apple fixes this as a bug, we'll immediately refresh all keyword popularity data. We'll keep you informed in both cases.
